Doug is a devoted husband and father, who enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family. He was born and raised in Kinnelon, NJ where he grew up in church, accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was obedient in baptism.
At a young age Doug started using his voice to serve God. He sang his first solo in church when he was about 16 years old. After graduating he moved to Lexington, KY where he became very involved in the music ministry and other ministries at Hill 'n Dale Christian Church. It was there that it became evident that God had gifted Doug with a powerful voice and an incredible vocal range.
When Doug joined the choir in 1983 he had only sung melody. It was in the choir that he learned to hear and sing bass and tenor. As he sang with quartets he learned to hear and sing baritone as well. Whether he is singing solo or harmonizing in a group it is very apparent he is singing from his heart and for his Lord.
Through the years Doug has been privileged to sing with his church choir, church vocal team, three quartets (Forgiven, The Master's Quartet, and Undivided Heart), one trio (Three in One), and a mixed ensemble (Potter's Clay). Doug has been honored to sing the National Anthem at several events in our area, including Memorial Day and Veterans Day at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
After serving at Hill 'n Dale Christian Church in Lexington, KY for over 17 years, Doug was called to lead the worship at Christview Christian Church in Winchester, KY. He lead the worship at Christview from June 4, 2000, until November 5, 2006. November 4, 2004 marks the day Doug and his family began singing full time. On July 30, 2006, Doug was ordained at Hill 'n Dale Christian Church, and on November 12, 2006, after being called by First Christian Church, Lexington, KY, he started his new postion as the part time Music Minister at First Christian Church.
